Self Perform Operations Leader to oversee and grow our self-perform operations across commercial and industrial construction projects. This leadership role is responsible for planning manpower, supporting project execution, developing field leaders, and ensuring operational excellence across a workforce of more than 100 skilled trades professionals.
Working closely with Executive Leadership, Operations, Estimating, Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen, this individual will help position projects for success from preconstruction through completion while driving safety, quality, productivity, and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop a workforce of 100+ carpenters, laborers, and skilled trades professionals.
- Partner with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen to plan manpower, sequencing, and project execution.
- Support commercial and industrial construction projects valued at $10M+ from preconstruction through completion.
- Develop labor plans that maximize productivity while supporting project schedules.
- Monitor labor performance, productivity, and project costs while identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Provide field leadership during project planning, startup, and execution.
- Collaborate with Estimating and Operations to pursue and support new self-perform opportunities.
- Promote a culture centered on safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and develop Foremen and field leadership while building strong relationships across project teams.
- Ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company goals.
Qualifications- 10+ years of progressive construction leadership experience.
- Experience leading self-perform operations with large field labor forces of 100+ skilled trades professionals.
- Commercial and industrial construction experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, manpower planning, labor productivity, and field operations.
- Experience managing multiple crews and projects simultaneously.
- Proven ability to collaborate with field operations, project management, estimating, and executive leadership.
- Strong financial awareness with the ability to monitor labor costs and operational performance.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and developing high-performing teams.

- Flexibility to support project schedules, including occasional early mornings, evenings, weekends, and travel to project sites as needed.
