The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-time SECURITY SPECIALIST (NH-0080-03) to work for Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) in the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFMC) for the 78th Air Base Wing (ABW) at Robins Air Force Base located in Warner Robins, GA. Relocation, Retention and Student Loan Incentives may be authorized. 2026 Salary Range ($89,508 - $138,370) yearly w/ locality Job Open Date: 7/28/2026 Job Close Date: 8/4/2026 Who may apply: All U.S. Citizens In this position you will serve as a Security Specialist with the responsibility to protect the organization from espionage, terrorism, and threats of unauthorized disclosure and/or compromise of information considered vital to mission interests, national defense and national security by serving as a Security specialist, providing security program functions in support of the organization. Participates in the administration and implementation of the Industrial, Information, Personnel, Physical and Operations security programs as a member of the organization's security management team. Plans, organizes, and directs a dimensional, multi-functional Unit Security Program in support of national security. Implements the Industrial Security Program policies and guidelines for highly classified programs as a member of the organization's security management team. exercises independent judgment for implementation, oversight, and centralized control of the Information Security program for the Unit. Maintains classified material systems and is involved in the design, analysis, or monitoring of security systems or classified information which are in direct support of national security. Implements the Physical Security and Operations Security (OPSEC) Programs as a member of the organization's security management team. Ensures liaison with program managers and program offices at all agencies and levels affected, including, but not limited to DoD, federal, state, county and city. Requirements: Must be a U.S. citizen Obtain & maintain a security clearance Certifications/Licensure KSAs: 1. Extensive knowledge of information, personnel, physical, industrial, communications and operations security concepts, principles, and practices to plan and implement security in these areas. 2. Comprehensive knowledge of required security training concepts, programs, procedures, and practices to assist managers in establishing and operating internal security programs. 3. Skill in developing, analyzing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program for the organization 4. Ability to communicate orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately. 5. Ability to establish effective, professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. ADDITIONAL POSITION REQUIRMENTS 1. The employee may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty. 2. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance. 3. This position is a designated National Security Position. 4. Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise. 5. This is a Drug Testing Designated Position. The employee is subject to random drug testing. 6. Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) and Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC) conferrals are required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DOD 3305.13-M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification. The listed certification requirements may not be deleted or modified without the written approval of the AF Security Functional Authority (SAF/AA) or their delegated security career field representative. 7. Security Certification Coding: SFPC: SECURITY FUNDAMENTAL PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION, Additional Requirements: SAPPC, MUST HAVE OBTAIN WITHIN 24 MONTHS RESUME: Your resume may NOT exceed two pages, and the font size should not be smaller than 10 pts.
