The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time SECURITY SPECIALIST, NH-0080-03, to work at the Air Force Materiel Command, (AFMC) in the Ogden Air Logistics Complex (OO-ALC) with OO-ALC/OM at HILL AIR FORCE BASE located in OGDEN, UT. This position will be used to fill multiple shifts (day, swing and grave). 2026 Salary Range: ($89,508-138,370) / Yearly with locality Job Open Date: 08/19/2026 Job Close Date: 08/26/2026 Who May Apply: All U.S. Citizens The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a security Specialist with the responsibility to protect the organization from espionage, terrorism, and threats of unauthorized disclosure and/or compromise of information considered vital to mission interests, national defense and national security by providing special access program (SAP) security functions in support of the organization. Participates in the administration and implementation of the Special Access, Industrial, Information, Personnel, Physical and Operations security programs as a member of the organization's SAP security management team. May perform as a Government Special Access Security Officer (GSSO) per AF and DOD established guidance. Qualifications: - U.S. Citizenship - Obtain & maintain Security clearance - This may be a designated Drug Testing Position - Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical (if applicable) - The employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include overtime, and/or days, swings, or owl shifts. - The employee may be required to work during base exercises, contingencies or emergency situations. - The employee may occasionally travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft IAW Joint Travel Regulations to other government installations, contractor facilities, or other commercial Locations for both training and mission accomplishment. - Position is designated special-sensitive and requires a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret w/SCI clearance. - Employee needs to obtain and maintain approval to access the portfolio of Special Access Programs required to perform daily duties. - Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise. - Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) and Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC) are required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DOD 3305.13-M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification. The listed certification requirement(s) may not be deleted or modified without the written approval of the AF Security Functional Authority (SAF/AA) or their delegated security career field representative. Special Programs Security Credential (SPSC) is recommended, but not required. Recruitment Knowledge Skills and Abilities: 1. In-depth knowledge of SAP security concepts, programs, procedures, and practices to plan and implement security programs in these areas. 2. Extensive knowledge of AFMC's mission, functions, and structure to the unit level to ensure effective implementation and oversight of special programs security concepts, principles, and practices. 3. Comprehensive knowledge of all Information Security disciplines and governing policies, directives, instructions, and procedures. 4. Expert knowledge of General Supply Administration (GSA) specifications; state-of-the-art detection and surveillance systems, construction standards, automated data processing systems and other security concepts to integrate the requirements of all security disciplines into guidance for the implementation and management of the AFMC special programs information security program. 5. Expert knowledge of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to conduct surveys/studies, accomplish projects, and effectively evaluate results for the effective management and completion of programs. 6. Able to effectively manage and organize various program activities and tasks, singularly and together, and familiar with administrative requirements of USAF and AFMC.
