The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time SECURITY SPECIALIST (COLLATERAL), NH-0080-03, to work at the Air Force Materiel Command, (AFMC) in the Ogden Air Logistics Center (OO-ALC) with 309 CMXG at HILL AIR FORCE BASE located in LAYTON, UT. 2026 Salary Range: ($89,508-138,370) / Yearly with locality

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Security Specialist with the responsibility to protect the organization from espionage, terrorism, and threats of unauthorized disclosure and/or compromise of information considered vital to mission interests, national defense and national security by serving as a security specialist, providing security program functions in support of the organization. Participates in the administration and implementation of the Industrial, Information, Personnel, Physical and Operations security programs as a member of the organization's security management team.

- Obtain & maintain Security clearance
- This may be a designated Drug Testing Position. The employee is subject to random drug testing.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical (if applicable)
- The employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include overtime, and/or days, swings, or owl shifts.
- The employee may be required to work during base exercises, contingencies or emergency situations.
- The employee may occasionally travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft IAW Joint Travel Regulations to other government installations, contractor facilities, or other commercial Locations for both training and mission accomplishment.
- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
- This position is a designated National Security Position.
-Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) and Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC) conferrals are required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DOD 3305.13-M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification. The listed certification requirements may not be deleted or modified without the written approval of the AF Security Functional Authority (SAF/AA) or their delegated security career field representative.
Recruitment Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
1. Extensive knowledge of information, personnel, physical, industrial, communications and operations security concepts, principles, and practices to plan and implement security in these areas.
2. Comprehensive knowledge of required security training concepts, programs, procedures, and practices to assist managers in establishing and operating internal security programs.
3. Skill in developing, analyzing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program for the organization
4. Ability to communicate orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately.
5. Ability to establish effective, professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
