What You'll Do:- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of business areas, exterior grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while following Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
Minimum Requirements:- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- A 40 caliber endorsement is required.
- A California weapons permit with a 9mm caliber endorsement is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
