Full Job Description
Section Manager Engineering (Multiple Openings)

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for coordinating the procurement, development, and implementation of equipment, tooling, and manufacturing processes to launch new products on time while meeting quality, cost, and delivery targets.
  • Develop and optimize processes to achieve required cycle time and yield
  • Generate cost estimates using cycle times, run ratios, yields, and tooling/equipment costs; and maintain long-term capacity plans and plant layouts to anticipate capital needs.
  • Source new machinery and tooling as needed
  • Identify and apply technology advancements to improve production capability, and establish robust coating and assembly processes - including programming, troubleshooting, process layouts, operator movement, and cycle times.
  • Review drawings and tooling to recommend improvements that increase productivity, quality, and safety, and create standard documentation (process diagrams, FMEAs, flow charts, trial reports, and related records) to support compliance with customer and quality-system requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with employees, customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams, provide support to other groups as needed, and complete additional tasks or projects as assigned by the supervisor.


Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor - Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field of study; will accept equivalent foreign degree

Experience: Four (4) years in the position above, Professional Staff or a related managerial role.

Experience must include:

1. Coating and assembly process programming and troubleshooting;

2. Jigs/fixtures and assembly equipment build;

3. Manufacturing defect resolution corrective action.
