SD Test & Ops Supervisor
Description -Job SummaryThis role is responsible for leading and coaching a team of lower-level contributors, ensuring their proficiency and compliance with guidelines. The role oversees day-to-day design activities, supports senior design leadership in strategic decisions, and establishes project-specific relationships with contractors and internal personnel. The role includes managing and developing employees, maintaining design references, organizing project files, and coordinating with other departments for cross-functional collaboration. The role oversees computer hardware, system support, training, and application development for the design team's needs.
Responsibilities• Leads a team of non-exempt contributors in the design team, offering coaching and guidance to enhance task and skill proficiency.
• Oversees and manages the day-to-day design activities of support-level employees, ensuring compliance with policies and guidelines, and prioritizing tasks to meet team objectives.
• Focuses on the identification of needs regarding project-specific design requirements, standards, and policies, and establishes project-specific business relationships with contractors and internal personnel to ensure commitments are delivered.
• Maintains a log of standard material sizes, configurations, details, and costs for the design team's reference.
• Effectively develops cross-functional relationships with product, consumer research, and marketing teams to develop strategy and consumer insights that drive compelling creative executions.
• Influences and drives changes across disciplines to optimize the usage of design thinking within the portfolio.
• Coordinates computer hardware and system support, training, and application development for design.
• Acts as a subject matter expert and reacts quickly to new information, opinions, and direction to strategically pivot the designs and strategies when necessary.
• Responsible for hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, and career development of subordinate employees; ensures that the proper tools are in place to support the team and the processes.
Education & Experience Recommended• Four-year Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 2-4 years of job-related experience and 0-2 years of management experience, preferably in product design, or a related field.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this role is
$70,850.00 - $102,700.00 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
