Job DescriptionScientist - RT-PCR / Cell CountShift: Full-Time; Sat-Wed or Wed-Sun; 11am-7pm EST
ONSITE: This is a fully onsite role based at our customer's site in
(Boston, MA). We welcome applicants from all locations within the US. Please note that relocation assistance is not provided for this position, and any relocation costs will be the responsibility of the candidate.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screening.
Key responsibilities:- Train on and execute analytical tests (cell count, cell cluster dissociation, flow cytometry, etc.) for samples of process development and product characterization
- Actively participate in sample coordination to support manufacturing runs for cell therapy programs
- RT-PCR is NICE TO HAVE
- Sort and organize samples in freezer storage units on a day-to-day basis and maintain detailed records as needed.
- Work collaboratively with other groups such as Process Development
- Document all experimental work, supporting information, and data in an electronic lab notebook (ELN) in a timely manner
- Compile and present data
- Contribute to lab organization and comply with lab safety protocols
- Working hours 11am to 7pm
- Work on weekends: Saturday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Sunday
- Be able to work with a flexible schedule based on workload
Education and Experience: - Bachelor's degree in lab sciences such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, Material Science, Immunology, Biology, Molecular Biology or similar
- Scientist: Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2+ years')
- OR Masters degree
In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Experience with aseptic technique and cell culture, preferably with human cell lines and stem cell differentiation
- Technical proficiency executing the following assays: cell culture, flow cytometry, ELISA, and cell-based potency assays
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, problem-solve, prioritize assignments, and adjust priorities to meet goals in a fast-paced environment required
- Sort and organize samples in freezer storage units on a day-to-day basis and maintain detailed records as needed
- Attention to detail and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Excellent communication skills with the proven ability to build open and collaborative relationships and work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience supporting stability programs for drug substances, drug products, and cell banks
- Experience with sample management and electronic lab notebook (ELN) systems

Compensation and BenefitsThe hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $35.00-$45.00.
