Full Job Description

The Bioconjugation and Delivery group within Protein Sciences is at the forefront of therapeutic design, generating molecules with unique mechanisms of action. In this hands-on, laboratory-based role, you will learn and apply advanced bioconjugation techniques with precise analytical characterization to advance the next wave of antibody oligonucleotide conjugates and novel delivery strategies.

The Opportunity

  • Design, optimize, and execute bioconjugation of proteins using chemical and enzymatic methods.

  • Develop and implement purification protocols for bioconjugates using standard protein purification techniques.

  • Perform analytical characterization of reaction mixtures and purified conjugates using chromatographic techniques (e.g., SEC, HIC, IEX), SDS-PAGE, colorimetric assays, and mass spectrometry (1D/2D LC-MS).

  • Interpret experimental findings, report data clearly, and present results to cross-functional scientific teams.

  • Manage inventory and sample tracking for completed conjugates and starting materials using digital management systems.

  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary scientific teams to advance innovative therapeutic modalities through the drug discovery pipeline.

Who You Are

You are a curious, collaborative, and early-career scientist eager to contribute to groundbreaking drug discovery and advance therapeutic modalities.

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, Biophysics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline, combined with 3-5 years relevant research or industry experience.

  • Practical experience or foundational understanding of protein purification and analytical characterization techniques (such as FPLC, HPLC, or LC-MS).

  • Knowledge of or hands-on experience with oligonucleotides and/or antibody oligonucleotide conjugate generation.

  • Strong communication, collaborative mindset, and interpersonal skills to thrive in an interdisciplinary environment.
