Qualifications

• Valid NJDOE certification to teach Students with Disabilities and a Science subject (Biological, Physical, Earth, or Chemistry) or eligibility to obtain these credentials.
• Preferred experience teaching at the high school level.
• Strong knowledge of science content and a passion for teaching.
• Excellent skills in classroom management and communication.
• Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver modified, standards-aligned science lessons focused on various scientific disciplines.
• Adapt curriculum and assessments for students with Individualized Education Plans.
• Design and supervise safe, hands-on laboratory experiments with the necessary adaptations.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to implement IEPs effectively.
• Perform other assigned duties as required.
