A current vacancy exists for the school year for a
School Psychologist within the Norristown Area School District at Marshall Street Elementary School.
* Sign On Bonus (In addition to Salary): $3,000
* Special Education additional Stipend: $1,000
Qualifications: - Valid PA certification in School Psychology required.
- Master's Degree required.
- Current police, child abuse, and FBI Fingerprint clearances required.
- Bilingual in Spanish Preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities: - Completion of school-age evaluations, re-evaluations, gifted evaluations, etc.
- Consult with teachers to educate them on various disabilities and provide strategies on how to work with them in the classroom.
- Collaborate with school teams regarding appropriate interventions for students and be part of the threat assessment team.
- Maintain compliance for all evaluations and re-evaluations.
- Provide suicide risk and prevention training, threat assessment training, etc.
- Collaborate with school based teams and parents to determine the need for an evaluation.
- Complete evaluations and re-evaluations for out of district students, non-public school students, and students transitioning from early intervention into the district.
- Stay aprised of testing protocols and different types of assessments that benefit students.
- Other duties as assigned.
