We are accepting applications for the position of School Assistant Superintendent - Secondary Schools. All applicants must follow one of the following processes:

Process for Out of District Applicants: Out of district applicants are required to complete an on-line application. All requested documents as indicated in the posting must be uploaded to the application.

Process for District Employees: District employees must complete an online administrative application in Frontline. If an employee does not already have an application in Frontline, they will need to create a new user ID and password to apply for the specific position.

Applicants for this position must have the following qualifications and experience:
• Master's degree in educational administration or a field appropriate to assignment from an accredited college or university; Doctorate preferred
• Valid Texas Mid-Management, Principal, or out of state equivalent certification and the ability to obtain Texas Certification required
• Advancing Educational Leadership (AEL) certificate or its equivalent; Instructional Leadership Development (ILD or ILT) or must be obtained within 3 months of start date as designated by Chief of Schools
• T-PESS Certification or must be obtained within 3 months of start date as designated by Chief of Schools'
• Minimum three (3) years successful principal experience
• Minimum five (5) years of administrative and/or supervisory experience
• Experience in supervising middle school principals preferred
• Principal experience at the secondary level, middle school preferred
• Experience working in urban schools preferred
• Experience in improving student achievement in low-performing schools preferred
