Scheduler

Job Location (Short): O'ahu, Kapolei, Hawaii

The Opportunity
  • Scheduler at a growth-oriented energy company. Par Hawaii operates a refined petroleum logistics network in the State of Hawaii consisting of terminals, pipelines, and marine assets.
  • Work with cross functional team in departments such as Oils Planning, Marketing, Refining and Logistics.
  • Dynamic position in a key critical infrastructure role in the Hawaiian Islands.
  • Reporting to the Scheduling Manager, you will provide exemplary customer service to our clients, internal stakeholders, and external stakeholders.


Key activities include:
  • Coordinates daily activities of Company's pipeline, product imports, and barges with the refinery, terminals, and contracted operator. Monitors inventory positions and plans resupply. Translate required information from internal supply, marketing groups and external shipping agents into pipeline or voyage orders for operators.
  • Manages inventory levels and resupply planning for assigned refined petroleum products - gasoline, jet fuel, diesel, and ethanol.
  • Coordinates and schedules the use of assigned transportation assets - pipelines, barges, and/or ships.
  • Works with internal and external stakeholders to forecast demands and plan for supply.
  • Coordinates with the trading department and customs brokers to import refined petroleum products.
  • Manage relationships with 3rd party terminal operators and customers.
  • Provide inventory and accounting support to scheduling activities - reconcile inventories, book transactions, and pay invoices as needed.
  • Participate in emergency drills and act as member of Company's Oil Spill Response Group.
  • Provides relief scheduling coverage as needed. Assumes responsibilities designated by the Scheduling Manager in his/her absence.
  • Must work weekends and holidays as needed
  • On-call 24/7 for unscheduled work and emergencies

Qualifications

To meet the basic qualifications for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. Additional qualifications include:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree in maritime, business, engineering or related field desired
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in the petroleum industry with duties directly related to transport of petroleum in bulk preferred
  • Previous experience in planning and scheduling petroleum pipeline, ship and/or barge movements desired
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, good mathematics skills, competent in use of computers.
  • Valid driver's license required


Hiring Range:

The hiring range for this position is $97,000 - $121,000 plus non-discretionary bonus. The candidate selected will be placed according to his/her skills and qualifications.
