POSITION OVERVIEW:

 

Quanta Government Solutions is seeking a Scheduler for dedicated support to a multi-project transmission infrastructure program in the Pacific Northwest, supporting the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA). The Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules using Oracle Primavera P6 to support planning, execution, and performance measurement across the programs. This role ensures schedule integrity, supports earned value integration, and provides critical path analysis to project leadership.

 

The Scheduler works closely with construction, engineering, procurement, and project controls teams to ensure schedule data accurately reflects project status and supports informed decision-making.

What You'll Do
  • Prepare, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules using critical path methodology.
  • Support project managers in identifying schedule risks, forecasting milestone achievements, and preparing recovery plans as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain resource-loaded and cost-loaded project schedules in Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with the work breakdown structure (WBS), control accounts, and project execution plans.
  • Perform critical path analysis, float analysis, and schedule risk assessments; present findings and recovery recommendations to project leadership.
  • Incorporate progress, logic changes, and schedule updates on a weekly/monthly basis; ensure schedule integrity and compliance with contract requirements.
  • Support earned value management processes by integrating schedule data with cost systems for schedule performance reporting.
  • Produce schedule deliverables including IMS updates, look-ahead schedules, milestone trackers, and narrative schedule analysis reports.
  • Coordinate with construction, engineering, and procurement teams to validate activity durations, logic sequences, and resource requirements.
  • Support schedule baseline development, change incorporation, and schedule impact analysis for contract changes and delay claims.
What You'll Bring

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.
  • At least ten (10) years of experience developing and maintaining critical path schedules; and at least five (5) years of experience in multi-project programs.
  • Proficiency in MS Project and P6 including the integration of inputs and outputs from both software tools.
  • 7+ years of scheduling experience in EPC, heavy industrial, or federal construction environments.
  • Strong understanding of CPM scheduling principles, earned value integration, and schedule analysis techniques.

 

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience on DOE or federal construction projects with EVMS schedule integration requirements.
  • Experience with schedule risk analysis tools (Acumen Fuse, Polaris, or similar).
  • Familiarity with XER file exchange processes and multi-project schedule environments.

Preferred Licenses/Certifications

  • PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) or PMI-SP certification preferred. P6 Professional certification a plus.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • No direct supervisory responsibilities. May provide technical mentorship to junior scheduling staff.
