About the position:The SCADA Manager provides technical leadership and oversight for the City's industrial control systems, operational technology (OT) network, and SCADA staff while coordinating closely with Information Technology, Engineering, Capital Project Management and Operations. This position is responsible for maintaining system reliability, cybersecurity, SCADA infrastructure upgrades, managing vendor contracts, and ensuring the automation systems remain operational to support safe, reliable, and compliant utility operations.
Anticipated starting salary for this position may be up to mid-point depending on candidate's experience and internal equity. Minimum QualificationsEducation and Experience:- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field from an accredited educational institution.
- Seven years of experience in the water industry, Water-Systems Related Technology, Engineering or related utility experience.
- Must have at least one year of Lead or Supervisory experience.
- Any equivalent combination of education and/or job-related experience that meets the minimum qualifications may be substituted.(
Licensing, Certifications and Other Requirements:- Must possess upon hire or promotion and maintain two Grade 1 Operator certifications from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) in either Water or Wastewater; one in Water Treatment or Water Distribution and one in Wastewater Treatment or Wastewater Collections.
