The SBA Loan Closer is responsible for guiding clients and their professional teams through the SBA lending process, ensuring full compliance with SBA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and internal policies. This role manages the closing cycle from structure review to final funding, providing accurate and timely communication to deliver exceptional client experience. Acting as the primary facilitator, the SBA Loan Closer ensures loans are documented, collateralized, and funded in accordance with SBA requirements while meeting workflow deadlines and service level agreements.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Partner with clients and advisors to collect and review both SBA-required and lender required documentation (e.g., leases, franchise agreements, purchase/sale agreements, financials).
Building trust, resolving concerns, and maintaining a high standard of professionalism in all borrower interactions.
Communicate closing conditions and funding timelines clearly to borrowers and stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
Credit & Documentation Review:
Review and validate credit approvals, authorization documents, and closing conditions for SBA eligibility.
Ensure loans are properly collateralized, documented, and disbursed per SBA and Bank standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with internal teams, legal counsel, and third-party providers (title, escrow, appraisers, environmental) to meet SBA closing requirements.
Other Duties: Performing other duties as assigned, adapting to new tasks or shifts in priorities as necessary to support your team’s and the company’s mission.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Qualified candidates for this role will possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. This role requires individuals with a strong foundation in SBA loan closing and documentation, and a commitment to regulatory compliance and client service.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Qualified candidates will possess a high degree of proficiency (typically from 3–5 years of work or practical experience), in:
SBA Loan Processing: Managing an active pipeline of SBA 7(a) and Express loans, including complex structures and multi-facility transactions.
Regulatory Compliance: Interpreting and applying SBA SOP guidelines throughout the closing process to ensure compliance.
Credit Review: Reviewing and validating credit approvals, authorization documents, and closing conditions for SBA eligibility.
Documentation Management: Ensuring loans are properly collateralized, documented, and disbursed per SBA and Bank standards.
Client Communication: Communicating closing conditions and funding timelines clearly to borrowers and stakeholders.

Total Base Pay Range 54,400.00 - 111,500.00 USD Annual
