Ford is implementing SAP S/4HANA to simplify and modernize its technology landscape, standardize core business processes across Order-to-Cash and Finance, improve operational efficiency, and support Clean Core architecture that enables innovation and differentiating business capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • To define the SAP OTC architecture and solution design strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, enterprise architecture principles, and Clean Core standards.
  • Evaluate, design, and govern end-to-end solutions across SAP S/4HANA, SD, FI/CO, MM, EWM, BTP, Datasphere, SAC, Fiori, while enabling seamless integration with third-party platforms such as Adobe, Vertex, and OpenText, and Ford's enterprise cloud ecosystem including GCP, Apigee, Cloud Run, BigQuery, and IICS.
  • To provide architectural guidance for complex enterprise integration using APIs, middleware platforms, and cloud technologies, including Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring scalable, secure, and standards-compliant solution designs.
  • To partner with product and delivery teams to define Functional Specifications and solution designs that align with SAP Clean Core principles, minimizing custom development and maximizing the use of standard SAP capabilities.
  • To collaborate with stakeholders with enhancement requests and proposed solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards, governance policies, and SAP best practices.
  • To jointly assess the architectural impact of new business requirements across processes, integrations, data models, applications, and the broader enterprise landscape, and to co-design scalable, supportable solutions that align with strategic architecture direction and standards.
  • To collaborate with product teams on design changes to existing configurations to ensure continued uninterrupted operations.
  • To evaluate custom solutions within the SAP ERP landscape to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles and SAP best practices.
  • To deliver the technical design to data analytics, integration fabric, security and cyber defense, hosting, and client infrastructure.
  • To provide architectural guidance for enterprise integration using APIs, middleware platforms, and cloud technologies, including Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring scalable, secure, and standards-compliant solution designs.
  • To provide architecture support such as troubleshooting complex performance issues.
  • To guide the product teams in the development of the SAP ERP implementation of platform reference patterns and best practices.
  • To lead the vendor architecture evaluation and hands-on proof-of-concept (PoC).
  • To influence future product development by contributing to the framework (architecture) used across multiple products or systems.
  • To ensure compliance with security, audit, regulatory, and data governance requirements across SAP solutions and integrations.
  • To operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deliverables simultaneously.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Technical related field
  • 10+ years of overall SAP experience, with in-depth knowledge of functional design, integration, and data reporting within the SAP S/4HANA Order-to-Cash (OTC) ecosystem.
  • SAP techno-functional professional with strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA
  • Strong understanding and practical application of SAP Clean Core best practices and principles.
  • Active practitioner of AGILE methodology and is familiar with architecture runway.
  • Good understanding of SAP testing strategies, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to align and reach consensus among diverse stakeholders and customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • SAP technical experience a definite plus.
  • Experience in troubleshooting complex systems and performance testing and tuning.
  • Data center, cloud knowledge and experiences
  • Project Management experience
  • GCP or other hyperscaler knowledge is a plus

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99,100-$166,200.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.

This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
