Job Description

The IERP Tax Product Team manages & supports Tax related changes within S4 & its integration with Vertex-On-Demand [VoD] & Vertex TPE for Tax Determination and Reporting purposes. The team supports implementation of major releases, maintenance activities [production support, change requests] & other technical upgrades. The team works very closely with the tax systems experts in the office of tax council (OTC) to support the requirements of our global customers, both for existing applications and services, as well as for new projects.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for S4 - Tax product configurations/customizations across IERP & other Non-IERP Landscape and Accounts Payables module specifically.
  • Maintain & Support S4-Vertex product integration for new release rollouts, major enhancements, technical upgrades etc.
  • Work with Business/Product manager to document and manage Product Requirements to create Business Requirements Documents (BRD) and Functional Specification Documents (FSD).
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture/users for optimized end2end design cloud-based solution approach that meet both business needs and technical standards.
  • Identifying where current tax systems require updates to meet new legislative requirements.
  • Understanding the lineage of data from a source transaction (invoice) to a final tax return.
  • Ability to understand system "rules" or logic tables within S4/Integration with relevant tax engine [Vertex].
  • Support test cases, that validate complex tax scenarios (e.g., edge cases in tax jurisdictions or exemption certificates) and maintaining a robust regression testing to ensue system stability.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for Support tickets, working with S4, Vertex and other interfaces from a tax standpoint.
  • Maintain and enforce S-Ox (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance and application security protocols across the tax landscape.
  • Perform, control and innovatively improve application development, deployment and testing standards for the IERP Tax.
  • Proactively building a strong and trusting business relationship to global and local stakeholders.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • 5+ years of Design/Implementation/support experience in S4/ECC [MM/FICO module] configurations/customizations.
  • Good experience in preparation/alignment on BRD/Functional Specification documents with Business and hand-holding the technical team on the requirements & functional specifications.
  • Good experience working with integration projects and interface teams.
  • Passion for understanding the underlying business processes in the Office of Tax Council
  • Very good communication & collaboration skills in global environment
  • Strong analytical skills, and the ability to identify root cause of business concerns; understand & predict business 'motivators'
  • Solution-oriented and can-do-attitude; excellent problem-solving skills.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 7+ years of Design/Implementation/support experience in S4/ECC [MM/FICO module] configurations/customizations.
  • Experience in S4 Tax/ Vertex or any other tax engine integration specific experience will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in handling Technology integration roles across systems will be an added advantage.

This position is a range of salary grades 7-8 and ranges from $99,600-$192,900.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.

This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
