Collins Aerospace is seeking an experienced SAP Master Data Architect/Analyst (P5) to lead our SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) design and implementation efforts. This individual will play a key role guiding Collins and supporting RTX enterprise teams through the deployment, configuration, integration, and operationalization of SAP MDG within our evolving ERP landscape.
The ideal candidate combines deep SAP MDG expertise with strong business process knowledge, exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills, and the ability to influence both technical and business stakeholders.
**This is a hybrid-based position at one of Collins’ major facilities. **
What YOU will do:
Serve as the primary SAP MDG functional architect for Collins, ensuring alignment with RTX governance, templates, and enterprise strategy
Lead and support the configuration, enhancement, and deployment of SAP MDG for key master data domains (e.g., Material, Vendor, Customer, BOM, Routing)
Partner with RTX process owners to harmonize master data standards, definitions, and workflows across business units
Collaborate with technical teams to design and validate integrations between SAP MDG, S/4HANA systems, PLM, ERP, MRP, and downstream applications
Support end-to-end project activities including requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design, testing strategy, cutover planning, and hypercare
Guide change management efforts—developing training materials, supporting user readiness, and enabling key user communities
Ensure SAP MDG processes and data models support long-term scalability, data quality, and governance objectives
Provide ongoing functional support, issue resolution, and continuous improvement recommendations for the MDG platform
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) to business stakeholders and IT partners, offering thought leadership on master data and governance best practices
Qualifications YOU Must Have:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
8+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Master Data solutions, with at least 3–5 years focused on SAP MDG.
Demonstrated experience configuring MDG workflows, data models, validation rules, UI modeling, BRF+, and change request processes.
Strong understanding of master data processes and lifecycle management in complex manufacturing or aerospace environments.
Experience designing integrations between SAP MDG and SAP ECC/S4HANA, PLM tools, or middleware (e.g., SAP PO/PI, BTP, APIs).
Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, efficient, and compliant MDG configurations.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience in large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.
Background supporting testing strategy, UAT, and data migration activities.
Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices.
Ability to lead cross-functional discussions across business, IT, and enterprise teams.
Experience with training development, enablement, or user support models.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
