Job Summary
The SAP FICO Analyst will serve as a senior SAP Finance SME supporting Finance, Accounting, Procurement, and Purchasing operations within a biotechnology environment. This highly visible role will provide functional expertise across SAP FI/CO, SAP MM/Purchasing integration, and SAP S/4HANA while supporting production operations, troubleshooting issues, gathering requirements, testing, documentation, and process improvements. The role will collaborate with business stakeholders, IT leadership, and vendors to support end-to-end business processes and provide recommendations for operational improvements.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide senior-level SAP FICO functional support for Finance, Accounting, Procurement, and Purchasing business processes.
• Support SAP FI/CO functionality and integration with SAP MM and Purchasing processes.
• Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.
• Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
• Support testing activities, including UAT, and assist with issue resolution.
• Prepare and maintain functional and technical documentation as required.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions to improve business processes.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT leadership to understand requirements and provide SAP Finance recommendations.
• Work with vendors and AMS partners to resolve issues and support ongoing SAP operations.
• Support compliance-related activities and applicable SOX and ITGC requirements.
• Present recommendations and provide subject matter expertise to business and IT leadership.
Required Qualifications
• 10+ years of SAP FICO experience.
• Strong SAP FI/CO functional expertise.
• Experience with SAP MM and Purchasing integration.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong production support and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience supporting Finance, Accounting, Procurement, and Purchasing business processes.
• Experience gathering requirements, supporting testing and UAT, documentation, and process improvements.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes and the ability to function as a trusted SAP Finance SME.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with business stakeholders and IT leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with SOX and ITGC compliance.
• Vendor and AMS management experience.
• Experience in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals, or other regulated industries.
