hybrid SAP technical/functional analyst - not a pure ABAP developer, not a pure business analyst, and not an EDI-only person.
Job Description: SAP / ERP Systems AnalystCompany: Cambridge-Lee Industries LLC
Department: MIS / Information Technology
Reports To: Director - Information Technology & Business Systems
Location: Reading, PA
Status: Draft
Internal Title / Level: ERP Analyst II
Posting Title: SAP / ERP Systems Analyst
Functional Areas: SAP ERP support, SAP programming/reporting, forms, authorizations, business process support, data analysis, SAP/EDI integration support, documentation, user support
Estimated Time Allocation: SAP ERP support, reporting, programming, forms, and business process improvement 60-70%; SAP authorization/security maintenance 10-15%; SAP configuration/testing/project support 10-15%; EDI/SAP integration and EDI provider coordination 5-15%, varying by business need
Position SummaryThe SAP / ERP Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving Cambridge-Lee's SAP ERP environment in a manufacturing business setting. This position works with business users, IT staff, and outside support resources to resolve SAP issues, improve business processes, create or modify SAP reports/forms/programs, support user access and authorizations, assist with configuration and testing, and help ensure SAP continues to support daily operations effectively.
This role is intended to support both SAP technical and functional needs. The position requires strong analytical ability, business process understanding, programming or report-development capability, attention to detail, and the ability to work directly with users to understand problems and deliver practical solutions. The person in this role should be able to research unfamiliar issues, learn company processes, test changes carefully, and document solutions so they are supportable over time.
The role also provides limited EDI/SAP integration support. Routine EDI maintenance and trading partner support may be handled by an outside EDI provider, but this position must understand how EDI transactions affect SAP processes such as orders, shipments, invoices, master data, and reporting. The analyst will help troubleshoot SAP-side EDI issues, coordinate with the EDI provider, and provide backup support where needed.
Because Cambridge-Lee has a small IT group, this position requires flexibility, ownership, clear communication, and the ability to provide cross-functional backup support. The person hired into this role should be capable of growing into broader SAP responsibility over time.

- Ability to document work clearly and build repeatable support procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to collaborate with a small MIS team and provide cross-functional backup support.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Accounting, Supply Chain, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
