The Sanitation Manager partners with Quality leadership and team to ensure that sanitation policy programs, procedures, and systems are effectively implemented within the internal plant. They will ensure compliance with all company, regulatory, and customer requirements and validate and verify all sanitation activities to ensure facility operates in compliance with defined food safety and sanitation standards. They will also work with department managers to develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure continued compliance with all regulatory, FSMA, PMO, CFR, SQF Certification, third-party and customer requirements and work with cross-departmental operational groups in the development of process improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
Essential Duties:- Manage daily activities for facility sanitation departments to ensure associates adhere to company safety requirements, cleaning and sanitation procedures and processes to meet and exceed Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Enforce all GMP & Housekeeping standards in accordance to 6S (5S + Safety) Standards and develop visual standards for the workplace
- Develop and conduct facility sanitation training to safely use sanitation chemicals for equipment and facility environmental sanitation
- Develop and maintain plant Master Sanitation Schedule, Clean-In-Place (CIP) systems, Sterilize-In-Place (SIP) systems, and environmental monitoring programs
- Appropriately implement sanitation and allergen preventive controls as they apply to the facility Food Safety Plan
- Verify and maintain all records associated with Master Sanitation Schedule, CIP Titration logs, CIP Charts, Pre-Operational Inspections, and environmental monitoring programs
- Work with sanitation chemical and equipment suppliers on cost-saving projects, managing equipment fund, and equipment necessary to execute Master Sanitation Schedule.
- Complete review of monthly service reporting for sanitation/CIP effectiveness and complete corrective actions as required.
- Develop and conduct facility sanitation training to safely use sanitation chemicals for equipment and facility environmental sanitation
- Support the company's operational priorities by looking for ways to improve Quality, Safety, and Waste Reduction/Productivity. Use company-issued tools to complete projects as assigned.
- Promote facility safety initiatives, including training and reviewing associate behaviors to promote a ZIP (Zero Is Possible) safety culture
- Communicates all special sanitation requirements to Plant Leadership
- Must be willing to work night and weekend hours as needed

Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree and 4+ years or related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in a dairy / beverage manufacturing environment preferred
- Working knowledge of dairy processing, regulatory compliance, (PMO/FDA FSMA, OSHA guidelines) GMP, sanitation, CIP, HACCP, & GFSI certification. Experience with XYZ technologies
- FSMA PCQI, HACCP Manager Certification, SQF Practitioner Certification, and SQF Auditor Certification or ability to complete within 6 mo of hire.
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Able to effectively present information to management and employees.
- Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which may be subject to evenings, weekends and holidays.

A starting salary of $70,000 to $105,000 with annual bonus potential depending on competency, experience, qualifications and skills plus annual bonus potential.
