About the Role

The Salesforce Marketing Automation Consultant will be responsible for new platform implementations and ongoing support for client campaigns across Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement, Account Engagement (formerly Pardot), and Marketing Cloud Next. This position is part of a client-facing team with a primary focus on the hands-on execution of high-quality marketing automation solutions.

Coordinate New Platform Implementation:
  • Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements, convert them to technical designs, and implement solutions while collaborating across technical and business areas.
  • Support clients through platform transitions and migrations (e.g., SFMC to Marketing Cloud Next), ensuring continuity of campaigns and data integrity.
  • Manage marketing-to-CRM connectors and their sync criteria relationships with Salesforce CRM.
  • Employ best practices for subscriber and data management, including custom preference centers and email regulations.
  • Gather and translate business requirements into a technical solution and implement the solution in an accurate, efficient, and reliable manner


Provide ongoing platform support and client enablement:
  • Execute marketing automation, email marketing, and content strategies for campaign execution, leveraging Agentforce and Einstein AI capabilities.
  • Code, configure, test, and debug Cloud Pages, landing pages, and microsites.
  • Build native forms for lead capture using progressive profiling to sync data to Salesforce CRM.
  • Support campaigns with custom SQL queries, automations, and comprehensive customer journeys.
  • Email Studio: Develop HTML- and AMPscript-based dynamic templates that follow web accessibility guidelines.
  • Leverage AMPscript, HML, SSJS, and jQuery for advanced web and email personalization.
  • Journey Builder: Deliver multi-channel communications and complex triggered automation flows.
  • Automation Studio: Manage SQL queries to segment audiences and power marketing campaigns.
  • Salesforce Flows: Build and manage record-triggered and scheduled flows for Marketing Cloud Next.
  • Mobile Studio: Create and deploy MobilePush and MobileConnect SMS campaigns.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Configure API integration to trigger email communication (triggered sends) utilizing SSJS, AMPscript, REST, and SOAP API integrations
  • Develop advanced segmentation, reporting and analytics, and data configuration
  • Translate business and marketing challenges into well-designed solutions
  • Stay current with rapidly developing Salesforce ecosystem
  • Inform project team of status and time estimates for work regularly
  • Demonstrate technical expertise while scoping and driving the creation of digital solutions, email campaigns, email reporting, and data integration
  • Understand requirements, build and maintain automated marketing campaign program flows
  • Conduct solutions testing and validation


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with SFMC platform (Email Studio, Mobile Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio).
  • Experience across multiple marketing platforms (SFMC, Account Engagement/Pardot, Marketing Cloud Next) preferred.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and advanced AMPscript for email and web development.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience writing and troubleshooting complex SQL queries.
  • Strong knowledge of APIs (REST/SOAP), data imports (SFTP), and architecture visualization tools.


Certifications & Experience

Required Certifications:
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer, Marketing Cloud Consultant, or Marketing Cloud Administrator

Preferred Certifications:
  • Salesforce Certified Data 360 (Data Cloud) Consultant
  • Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist
  • Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Account Engagement Consultant
  • Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder (or Administrator), demonstrating Flow proficienc
