Summary:
We're looking for a Salesforce Developer for the systems that run our Customer Support, Customer Experience, and Professional Services organizations. Salesforce is our system of record for the customer relationship - Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Certinia PSA - connected to NetSuite, Gainsight, Jira Service Management, and our broader enterprise stack.
The ideal candidate is comfortable moving between technical development, declarative configuration, production troubleshooting, and requirements discussions. Success requires strong technical skills, clear communication, and the ability to work well with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What You'll Build:
• Agentforce. Custom invocable Apex actions, prompt templates, and grounding logic that let agents transact against the customer 360, following established patterns for the Agent API surface.
• The API layer. Apex REST services and GraphQL/Connect API usage, built against established versioning and deprecation guidelines set by the platform lead. You'll flag contract-level tradeoffs for review rather than deciding them solo.
• Authentication and secret handling. Implementing OAuth 2.0 flows (JWT bearer, client credentials, refresh token rotation) against established connected app and credential patterns. Scoping and allowlisting decisions are made with the platform lead.
• The delivery pipeline. SFDX, source-tracked development, scratch orgs, and automated Apex test execution, working within CI gates set by the team.
How You'll Work:
• You'll work directly with stakeholders, project leads, and PMs to refine business requirements, identify risks and dependencies, and translate business objectives into well-designed solutions.
• Design decisions get written down and reviewed with the platform lead at key checkpoints - architecture diagrams, API documentation, and runbooks are expected deliverables.
• AI writes a lot of our code. You're expected to use AI tooling fluently and to fully understand anything you merge - code is reviewed before merge, with pairing support from a senior engineer on unfamiliar areas, and tests catch regressions, especially in generated code.
• Changes deploy through DevOps Center with approval gates.
• Production issues get diagnosed with logs, debug logs, Event Monitoring, and data, with root cause and fixes reviewed with the team.
• You'll track project development in Azure DevOps and support tickets in Jira Service Management.
What You'll Bring:
• 5+ years building on the Salesforce platform, with hands-on Apex, SOQL, and Lightning Web Components.
• API development experience on Salesforce: custom Apex REST/SOAP services, Connect REST API, or GraphQL.
• Working knowledge of OAuth 2.0 on Salesforce: connected apps, JWT bearer and client credentials flows, and Named/External Credentials.
• Asynchronous Apex (Queueable, Batch, Platform Events) and practical fluency with governor limits, bulkification, and query performance.
• Secure coding on the platform: CRUD/FLS enforcement, sharing model in Apex, SOQL injection prevention, CORS and CSP Trusted Sites configuration.
• Source-driven development with SFDX and Git.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems through middleware or direct API.
• Clear written communication - design docs, API specs, and explanations that a non-developer stakeholder can act on.
(Alternative paths: 3 years of related experience with a Master's degree; or a PhD without required experience; or equivalent experience.)
We'd Love to See:
• JavaScript framework experience (React, Next.js, or similar).
• Familiarity with Service Cloud and Salesforce Knowledge.
• Familiarity with the Experience Cloud model - LWR sites, custom LWCs, external user licenses, sharing sets, guest user access.
• Familiarity with the Certinia PSA data model - projects, assignments, resources, timecards.
• Middleware experience (Boomi, MuleSoft).
• Exposure to a SOX-regulated or otherwise audited environment.
