Job Summary

We are looking for a high-drive, results-oriented Low Voltage/Fire Alarm Sales Representative who knows how to open doors, create pipeline, and close business. This role is built for a true hunter-someone who thrives on prospecting, competing, and winning new accounts while growing recurring revenue through service agreements and system upgrades. You will sell code-compliant fire alarm systems, integrated security solutions, and ongoing service to small and mid-sized commercial customers. Responsibilities
• Own your territory and aggressively build a pipeline across fire alarm service, retrofit, new logo, and select new construction opportunities
• Hunt for and win new business across fire alarms, service agreements, intrusion, CCTV, and access control solutions
• Drive revenue through consultative selling of code-compliant fire alarm systems, recurring service agreements, and integrated security solutions
• Identify, qualify, and advance opportunities through job walks, system evaluations, and compliance assessments
• Build and execute territory and account strategies designed to maximize growth and capture market share
• Run mid-commercial opportunities from first conversation through signed contract, while expanding deal value whenever possible
• Partner with engineering, design, and operations teams to deliver accurate, compliant, and competitive proposals that help you win
• Present bids, proposals, and technical solutions with confidence to building owners, contractors, and AHJs
• Serve as a trusted expert on NFPA codes, local requirements, and best-fit system recommendations
• Stay ahead of code updates, product developments, and local enforcement trends to create a competitive edge in the field
• Represent RapidFire with energy and professionalism at customer meetings, pre-bid conferences, and industry events
• Contribute to a performance-driven team culture by sharing wins, market insight, and best practices

Qualifications
• 3 to 5 years of successful sales experience in fire alarm, life safety, or closely related low-voltage systems
• Strong working knowledge of code-compliant fire alarm systems, including NFPA 72 and local AHJ requirements
• Proven ability to sell fire alarm service, retrofit, and installation solutions
• Solid understanding of system design concepts, key manufacturers such as Potter, Silent Knight, DMP, and Fire-Lite, and approved security vendors
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and solution-oriented thinking
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally

Preferred Qualifications
• NICET certification is a plus
• Experience working directly with AHJs, inspectors, and fire marshals
• Experience serving customers in healthcare, education, retail, government, civic, or restaurant environments
