About the roleWe are seeking a Sales Finance Controller to partner closely with our Grocery & Drug Channel Sales teams, driving financial performance and supporting strategic decision-making. This role is critical in ensuring alignment between financial targets and commercial execution, while optimizing trade investments and enhancing overall profitability.
Your responsibilities- Act as the primary finance partner to Sales Directors and account teams, aligning on commercial plans, Annual Operating Plans (AOP), and forecasts.
- Manage and optimize trade spend, ensuring adherence to funding principles and maximizing ROI on promotions.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying key drivers (volume, mix, pricing, trade rates) and recommending corrective actions.
- Deliver insights on customer and product profitability, including analysis of deductions, cost-to-serve, and post-audits.
- Develop financial models to support pricing strategies, promotional effectiveness, and new business opportunities.
Salary Range:
$150,000 - $187,000
The experience we're looking for- 6-10 years of experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, or Sales Finance, ideally within CPG.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field; MBA or certifications (CPA, CMA) are a plus.
- Strong technical skills in Excel, PowerPoint, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Proven ability to analyze complex data and translate insights into business actions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
- Experience managing trade spend structures and mentoring junior team members is a plus.
