Job Summary & Objective:

Responsible for developing assigned dealer accounts by promoting Portfolio products, while maintaining the company's philosophies and principles. Work with our entire Portfolio staff to ensure the success of assigned accounts with professionalism and enthusiasm and being the go-to person for all concerns, issues, and direction for everything pertaining to assigned accounts.

Essential Functions:
  • To be the Portfolio product knowledge and technology expert in ALL environments.
  • Work with management and Client Relations team to continue to develop processes that will ensure current accounts' growth and success with Portfolio.
  • Takes immediate action to the needs of clients.
  • Responsible to work with others to work through/resolve issues with current clients.
  • General Management of current assigned agencies.
  • Proper delegation of work through CRMs and RAM's.
  • Accountable for meeting Portfolio's annual production forecast.
  • Retro/Reinsurance and custom dealer presentations.
  • Retro/Reinsurance reviews for ALL assigned agency business.
  • Managing assigned agencies Dealer's remittance trends.
  • Managing assigned agencies attrition for current dealers.
  • Accountable for keeping expenses within the established guidelines.
  • Live by the Portfolio Standards.
  • Responsible for working with the Accounting department on all accounting issues related to assigned agencies.
  • Responsible for working with the Claims department on claim issues related to assigned agencies.
  • Strives to enforce and live the Portfolio Philosophy each and every day.
  • Takes ownership of changes and is personally responsible for managing change in an upbeat positive manner.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
  • Travel 70-80% of the time (air, road, etc.).
  • Must have mobility to drive and move about client sites.
  • Vision acuity is required to include close vision, color vision, distant vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to grasp objects such as a telephone or computer mouse, finger dexterity to use a keyboard, calculator, and standard office equipment.
  • Ability to walk, stand, reach with hands and arms; stoop kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to frequently sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to hear and talk, both in person and by phone on a frequent, regular basis.
  • Ability to spend extended hours in front of a computer screen.

Education and Qualification Requirements:
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM Software, and internal software systems.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Problem resolution experience.
  • Strong sales aptitude.
  • 5+ or more years' experience in an automotive sales related environment.

$125,000 - $150,000 a year

Protective's targeted compensation for this position is $125k-$150k. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, job location, skills, and experience. The range listed is just one component of Protective's total compensation package for employees.

This position also includes cash compensation as a part of a sales incentive plan (SIP).
