HazTek is seeking a seasoned Construction Safety Manager to support a large-scale capital construction project at an active pharmaceutical/industrial facility. This role requires a collaborative leader who can integrate contractor safety programs with site operations while driving visible leadership and a strong safety culture.
- Develop and implement the project Construction Safety Plan
- Review and approve contractor safety plans, risk assessments, and high-risk activity procedures
- Provide visible safety leadership through audits, inspections, and field engagement
- Lead contractor coordination meetings and support project team collaboration
- Oversee permit-to-work systems, LOTO, heavy lifts, and high-risk construction activities
- Monitor safety performance, validate reporting, and coordinate incident investigations
- Support commissioning, pre-start-up safety reviews, and project closeout documentation
Qualifications- 5+ years of construction safety experience in industrial, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing environments
- Experience working in active/operating facilities preferred
- Strong communication and contractor management skills
- OSHA 30 required; CHST, CSP, or equivalent preferred
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills
