ResponsibilitiesThe Safety Manager in Rahway, NJ supports specific project needs by ensuring best practices are implemented, safety compliance requirements are met, and enhance a culture of safety.
- Provide daily field safety oversight
- Conduct safety audits and inspections
- Review and manage permits for:
- Hot Work
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Fall Protection
- Scaffolding
- Participate in Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
- Attend weekly toolbox talks with the general contractor
- Support commissioning activities
- Ensure OSHA and site safety compliance
Qualifications
- OSHA 510 required
- Pharmaceutical construction highly preferred
- Commissioning experience required
- Experience with lab renovations or hazmat projects preferred
- HAZWOPER 40 preferred
- Previous experience at a major pharmaceutical facility preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with contractors
