Position: Safety / Quality ManagerThe Impact You'll MakeThe PSI Group in Williamsport MD, a leading manufacturer of corrugated boxes and distributor of packaging supplies, is seeking a Safety Manager to join our team. As our Safety Manager, you will be the driving force behind creating and maintaining a safe, compliant, and proactive work environment. Your leadership will directly influence how our teams operate, ensuring that every employee goes home safe and healthy each day. You'll be instrumental in building a safety-first mindset across all levels of the organization, reducing risks, and fostering continuous improvement.
What You'll Do- Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs tailored to corrugated manufacturing processes.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA and industry standards.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action plans.
- Train and coach employees on safety procedures, PPE usage, and emergency response protocols.
- Collaborate with production managers to integrate safety into daily operations and new equipment installations.
- Participate in National Safety workshops to develop preventative risk control practices.
- Prepare and file annual safety reports (OSHA 300, etc)
- Travel and work at other sites is approximately 20%
What You'll Bring- Proven experience (3 -5 years minimum preferred) in safety management within manufacturing, preferably corrugated or paper-based industries.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and MOSH regulations, ANSI standards, and environmental health & safety best practices.
- Excellent communication and training skills to engage employees at all levels.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement effective safety solutions.
- Certification such as CSP, ASP, or OSHA 30 preferred.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for building a zero-incident, high-quality culture.
