DescriptionAs a Safety Manager at Irwin, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company standards. The role focuses on preventing workplace injuries and promoting a strong safety culture across the organization.
Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies, procedures, programs, and training with cross functional teams
- Conduct workplace safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions
- Lead\Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports and root cause analyses
- Prepare safety training and toolbox talks for employees
- Encourage a behavior-based safety program (BBS) to promote safety among employees
- Monitor safety performance metrics and prepare management reports
- Advise management on safety risks and improvements
- Consistent visible presence in production areas with direct engagement with employees
- Lead emergency response planning and drills
- Maintain OSHA\MIOSHA records and documentation, ensure regular compliance
- Lead safety committee and first responder team
- Administer the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP)
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, or related field (preferred)
- 3-7 years of experience in safety and environmental management
- Strong knowledge of OSHA\MIOSHA, EPA, and environmental regulations
- Experience conducting audits, inspections, and incident investigations
- OSHA 30-Hour (preferred)
- First responder trainer certification (preferred)

Compensation: The base salary range for this full-time position is $80,000 - $90,000. Within this range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including but not limited to: relevant work experience, job-related knowledge, skills, and complexity of the role.
