TITLE: Safety Manager I

LOCATION: On-site, Goodyear, AZ

POSITION SUMMMARY:

CPG Beyond has an excellent opportunity for a Safety Manager to join our growing team. The Safety Manager provides leadership, direction and education on CPG Construction Projects for site specific safety plans, a key initiative to improve safety culture and compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides site support and guidance to ensure field implementation of CPG Beyond and owner policies, procedures, and best practices are integrated into all aspects of projects.
• Performs risk-assessments for self-performing and subcontracted work.
• Advises safety Senior Leadership on safety compliance concerns and preventative actions.
• Plans and implements training for employees in worksite safety practices.
• Performs safety surveys and inspections, prepares written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventive measures indicated and follows up to ensure corrective actions have been implemented.
• Conducts post-accident investigation and prepares reports identifying possible accident causes and hazards for use by company personnel and senior management.
• Maintains safety files and records.
• Potential frequent or extended travel to assigned projects - up to 30%

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience (Desired):
• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Construction Management, or Engineering desired.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience with construction safety management.
• Experience managing security personnel on projects.
• Working knowledge of U.S Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and standards and other non-regulatory safety standards applicable to the location.
• Working knowledge of 29 CFR1926. Knowledgeable with NFPA 70E and environmental compliance is preferred.
• Experience conducting incident investigations and can follow reporting processes. Communicate effectively with client safety team regarding incidents and other action items.
• Experience evaluating JHAs, SOPs, EOPs, MOPS, Hazcom, technical reports and procedures.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Outstanding Customer relations skills.

Computer Skills:
• Knowledge with experience using Microsoft Office

Certificates and Licenses:
• BCSP certifications preferred (CSP, CHST, SMS)

Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Supervising on-site direct reports

Pay Range: $85,996 - $129,050 per year
