- Salary Range - $95,000 to $100,000

Safety Investigations and Analysis Support personnel to perform advisory and assistance services to the AF Occupational Safety mission at Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico. The Safety Investigations and Analysis Support position provides services in support Air Force Occupational Safety & Health (AFSOSH) Division of the Air Forces Safety Offices.
Safety Investigations and Analysis Support should be:
- Knowledgeable of traffic safety components and be able to perform motor vehicle crash analysis
- Knowledgeable data mining to perform mishap investigation analysis, evaluating mishap data for trends and providing safety recommendations
- Knowledgeable of traffic safety plans, motorcycle training for the development of traffic safety programs and the preparation of data reports and briefings
Provide support for ongoing traffic and occupational safety activities and research efforts:
- Create interactive Adobe forms, manage content on SharePoint and multimedia web sites.
- Provide analysis of mishap causal factors
- Develop safety data trend analysis and briefs related to investigations and inspection activities
- Provide consultative support for developing safety program management, mishap investigation, human factors and motorcycle module updates
- Communicate mishap statistics, lessons learned and cross-flowing educational and awareness safety information
- Identify and analyze mishap trends and develop safety data products and reports
Education - BA/BS or equivalent experience PREFERRED
Qualifications/Certifications - Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in safety investigations and/or safety analysis.
- Demonstrated experience analyzing motor vehicle, traffic, motorcycle, occupational, or related safety incidents.
- Experience identifying causal and contributing factors and developing safety recommendations or corrective actions.
- Ability to analyze complex technical information and prepare clear, accurate reports and presentations.
- Ability to obtain a successful adjudication of a Tier 1 (T-1) background investigation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, stakeholders, and established deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Excel.
