Full Job Description
What You'll Do:
Safety Management
• Conduct monthly safety training for FCL employees to maintain high safety standards.
• Perform random safety inspections on all job sites each month to identify and address potential hazards.
• Work closely with subcontractors to ensure they address safety issues promptly and efficiently.
• Stay up to date on OSHA regulations and educate employees about changes or current trends in construction safety.
• Create and manage safety reports, providing updates to the Director of Safety, Project Manager, and company Executives.
• Interface with OSHA and other regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.
• Lead accident and incident investigations to ensure causes are identified and corrective actions are taken.
• Maintain thorough records of site inspections, incident reports, investigations, and safety documentation.
• Collaborate with field staff to improve safety practices and implement preventive measures on job sites.
Relationship Management
• Foster strong relationships with team members through open, honest communication and professionalism.
• Build trust and confidence across the team by consistently supporting and mentoring colleagues.
• Collaborate with project managers and field staff to integrate safety as a core value throughout the project lifecycle.
What We're Looking For:
Required
• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field, or equivalent work experience in safety management.
• OSHA 30-Hour certification in Construction Safety and Health.
• Current driver's license with the ability to travel to job sites and offices as needed.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local construction safety regulations.
• Ability to communicate safety concerns and remediation methods effectively with subcontractors in a professional manner.
Preferred
• Certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP), such as GSP, CHST, STSC, or CSP.
• First Aid/CPR/AED and BBP certifications, with a willingness to become a certified trainer.
• Proficiency in auditing and software tools (CMiC, HammerTech, MS Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
