Qualifications

• National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) or equivalent certification required
• CRSP designation required
• Industrial safety experience required
• Strong knowledge of Canadian health and safety regulations
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and enforce corrective actions
• Proficiency in safety reporting and documentation tools
• Required safety tickets including H2S Alive, CSTS or CSO, WHMIS 2015, First Aid

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety policies and procedures for industrial sites
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards
• Provide safety training and toolbox talks to employees and contractors
• Investigate accidents and incidents, preparing detailed reports with recommendations
• Ensure compliance with Canadian occupational health and safety laws
• Collaborate with project managers and supervisors to promote a safety-first culture
• Maintain safety documentation, records, and reports
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related matters on-site
