Job DescriptionJob SummaryGathering, analyzing, and interpreting a wide variety of research data. Designs and conducts research including selecting data samples, developing research instruments, analyzing collected information according to established statistical methods, and developing recommendations based on research findings. Prepares reports, charts, tables, and other visual aids to interpret and communicate data and results.
ResponsibilitiesStatistical ResearchConducts statistical studies in support of research proposals and protocols.
Research Data SystemsMaintains and develops research gathering, retrieval and reporting systems.
Study Planning and DesignPlans studies, including the design of survey instruments and determining the sampling and reporting procedures.
Research Study ImplementationCollaborates on the design, documentation, testing and implementation of research studies.
Reporting and AnalysisPrepares reports and / or analyses for internal department constituents.
Data Reporting ProductsMay be involved in researching, evaluating and selecting new data reporting products.
Data Organization and Trend AnalysisAssists in developing systems for organizing data to analyze, identify and report trends.
Research Data AnalysisGathers and analyzes research data; prepares and summarizes information and / or recommendations.
Independent Study PlanningIndependently plans limited studies or assists higher level Analysts in large, complex studies.
Other DutiesOther duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in related area and one or more years or relevant experience and / or equivalent experience / training.
- Acquiring knowledge of research function. Acquiring ability to perform research analysis duties.
- Working skills in statistical analysis, systems programming, database design and data security measures.
- Working skills in analysis and consultation.
- Skills to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to effectively manage time and see assigned parts of projects through to completion on deadline.
- Working skills in the appropriate use of technology and relevant software and scientific equipment as required (i.e., python).
- Demonstrated experience working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and vulnerable populations.
- Experience using SmartSheets or other project management software.
- Demonstrates ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns.
- Experience working in Epic (or similar EHR system).
Preferred Qualifications- Master's degree in related area.
