Job Summary:

As the Rotor Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you'll lead the engineering team responsible for one of the most critical manufacturing operations at Centrus Energy's Technology and Manufacturing Center in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

What You Will Do:

Lead the Rotor Manufacturing Engineering organization responsible for supporting rotor assembly production and manufacturing operations. You'll build and develop a talented engineering team, drive production readiness and continuous improvement initiatives, oversee manufacturing strategies, and ensure the organization consistently delivers world-class safety, quality, performance, and reliability. Working closely with Manufacturing leadership and cross-functional teams, you'll identify risks, improve manufacturing processes, mentor engineers, and help position Centrus for long-term manufacturing success.

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or another related engineering discipline
  • 10+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Experience with composites manufacturing
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Experience working within manufacturing quality systems such as NQA-1, ISO/TS, or AS9100
  • Experience using AIAG Core Tools
  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a "Q" Clearance


A Successful Candidate Brings:
  • Experience with composites design
  • Project management experience
  • Centrifuge manufacturing experience
  • Experience supporting licensed, safety-significant manufacturing systems or components
  • Active Q Clearance or Top Secret (TS) security clearance

Pay:

Estimated Starting Base Salary Range: $125,081 - $208,469. This position is Bonus eligible. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. While the posted range reflects the anticipated hiring range for this position, compensation above the range may be considered for candidates with exceptional qualifications and directly relevant experience.
