Position Summary:We're seeking an execution-driven Robotics Technician - Mechatronics to support the hands-on build, integration, and testing of our humanoid robot's electrical and mechanical systems. In this role, you will work closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to assemble, wire, troubleshoot, rework, and document prototype and production hardware across subsystems including actuators, sensors, power systems, cable routing, structural assemblies, and test infrastructure. This role is ideal for a technician with 5+ years of experience supporting complex electromechanical systems, with strong hands-on skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to development from prototype through production.
Core Responsibilities:- Build, assemble, wire, and rework robotic and electromechanical subsystems
- Support integration, bring-up, debugging, and root-cause analysis across electrical and mechanical systems.
- Execute test plans, collect data, document results, and help maintain test setups, fixtures, and lab hardware.
- Fabricate and route cable harnesses, install components, perform fit checks, and support mechanical adjustments and rework.
- Partner with electrical, mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot issues and keep development moving quickly.
Required Qualifications:- 5+ years of experience in a robotics or mechatronics technician role supporting electromechanical systems.
- Strong hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, soldering, cable/harness fabrication, and bench troubleshooting.
- Comfortable using common lab and shop tools, test equipment, and basic mechanical fabrication equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, CAD drawings, work instructions, and assembly documentation.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced development environment.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience supporting robotic systems, preferably humanoid and/or manipulation robots.
- Experience with prototype builds and transition to manufacturing.
