What Your Day Will Look Like:


Phoenix or Tucson, AZ | Hybrid

 

Consor is seeking a Roadway Design Engineer (PE) to support roadway, highway, and multimodal transportation projects for ADOT, counties, and municipalities across Arizona.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to expand their technical expertise, work on impactful transportation projects, and grow toward project leadership responsibilities.

 

Projected Compensation: $105,000 - $140,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Compensation for candidates with significant experience beyond the minimum requirements may be considered above this range.

 

Hybrid Work Schedule: Team members are expected to work from the office on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, with flexibility to work remotely on Thursday and Friday, subject to business and project needs.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop roadway alignments, profiles, typical sections, and cross-sections.
  • Prepare plans, specifications, quantities, cost estimates, and technical reports.
  • Perform engineering analyses and roadway design calculations.

What You'll Need:

  • 5+ years of roadway or transportation engineering experience.
  • Experience with DOT, county, or municipal transportation projects.
  • Proficiency in OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, Civil 3D, and/or AutoCAD.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)
  • Experience working on ADOT transportation projects.
  • Familiarity with AASHTO and ADOT design standards.
  • Experience with roadway widening, corridor, intersection, or highway improvement projects.
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary transportation design environment.
  • Construction support or roadway plan production experience.
  • Interest in developing project management and client-facing responsibilities.
 This hybrid job operates between an office environment and a field environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones and copy machines. May require occasional exposure to work environments that may include inclement weather, heat, humidity, noise, hazard, atmospheric conditions, and bodies of water, depending on project requirements.While performing the duties of this job, physical demands of the employee include frequent sitting, moving, standing, talking, hearing, and occasional balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling. This job may occasionally require operating a company vehicle, and lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs.
