RN Wound Nurse

$42-$44/HR

Mon-Friday 8am-4pm

Our 200-bed skilled nursing center is seeking a dedicated RN Wound Nurse to join our clinical team. The RN Wound Nurse will be responsible for the assessment, treatment, and management of complex wounds for our residents while collaborating with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members. The RN Wound Nurse plays a critical role in promoting healing, preventing complications, and maintaining the highest standards of clinical care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive wound assessments and develop individualized care plans as an RN Wound Nurse.
  • Provide ongoing monitoring, treatment, and documentation of wounds, pressure injuries, surgical sites, and skin conditions as the facility's RN Wound Nurse.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure appropriate wound care interventions.
  • Educate nursing staff on wound prevention strategies, skin integrity protocols, and best practices in wound care.
  • Track wound healing progress and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to wound management and infection prevention.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility policies regarding wound care treatment and documentation.
Qualifications
