Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Surgical Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.

Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans.   • Safety
  • Maintains current knowledge of all patient safety standards and National Patient Safety goals and consistently incorporates into nursing practice.
  • Able to safely administer medications and blood/blood products using the 7 (seven) rights of medication and blood administration. Uses 2 (two) separate hospital approved identifiers to safely identify the patient prior to medication / blood administration.
  • Maintain a safe, therapeutic work environment at all times and identifies and addresses problems to the appropriate departments.
  • Adheres to principles of infection control, including medical and surgical asepsis and isolation techniques. Demonstrates aseptic technique while conducting sterile dressing changes, urinary catheterizations, and other similar duties.
  • Receive, interpret and implement physician orders in a safe and timely manner. Uses hospital approved process for telephone and / or verbal orders that include a readback of all orders.
