RN Supervisor Weekend Warrior to its nursing leadership team. In this role, you'll oversee nursing operations during your assigned shift, ensuring residents receive high-quality care while supporting staff, maintaining regulatory compliance, and promoting a safe and positive environment. If you're an experienced Registered Nurse with strong leadership skills and a passion for resident-centered care, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Supervise nursing staff, including team leaders, nursing assistants, and trainees during assigned shifts
- Ensure resident care plans are implemented, updated, and followed appropriately
- Conduct resident assessments and monitor changes in condition, ensuring timely communication with providers and families
- Oversee medication administration, treatments, documentation, and nursing services
- Address resident, family, visitor, and staff concerns while promoting a positive care experience
- Assist with staffing coverage, scheduling adjustments, and overtime authorization as needed
- Support staff education, orientation, coaching, and performance management activities
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, infection control standards, resident rights, and regulatory requirements
- Respond to emergencies, safety concerns, incidents, and facility operational issues
- Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives
- Perform additional duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:- Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Valid NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License required
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in a geriatric or rehabilitation setting; 3+ years preferred
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution abilities
- Knowledge of long-term care regulations, infection control practices, and resident rights
- Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
