Your Role on the Team

Position Summary:

The Supervisor is a registered professional nurse, proficient in caring for acute medical/surgical patients and coordinating the emergency department. Acts as liaison between administration, medical staff, and ED nursing staff. Must be able to manage a dynamic staff effectively. The incumbent is also responsible for promoting the positive image of the facility by effectively communicating and interacting with staff, physicians, patients, families, and the community.

Required Qualifications:
  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Management/Supervisory experience in the nursing profession
  • Current RN License
  • Current BLS Provider
  • Current ACLS Provider
  • Current PALS Provider
  • Current CPI Provider


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
  • Master's Degree in Nursing
  • CEN
