Job Title: PACU RN

Shift: 8H Days, Monday to Friday
Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, plus call as needed
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience required, 2 years preferred
License: License required to practice

Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Must-Have:
- Comfortable recovering patients in conjunction with anesthesia
- Ability to calculate Aldreti scores
- Close monitoring of patients during post-anesthesia
- Maintaining airway and responding to life-saving situations as needed

Description:
The PACU RN will be responsible for recovering patients post-anesthesia.
The nurse will manage a 1:1 nurse to patient ratio.
Common cases include endoscopy, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, hernia repair, hysterectomy, D&C, C-section, laparoscopic appendectomy, open cholecystectomy, open appendectomy, orthopedic surgeries, and ER sedated procedures in various specialties.
The nurse will administer medications and treatments as per policies and procedures.
Monitoring of patients and responding to life-saving situations according to nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols is essential.
Experience in previous traveler roles is preferred.
The role may require participation in after-hours on-call duties.
Alternating holiday requirements apply.
The call response time should be within 20 minutes.
There is no floating between units.
Scrub color and dress code will be provided.
