Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation using the nursing process.
- Prioritize and coordinate patient care in collaboration with patients, families, providers, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Perform and document patient assessments, administer medications and treatments, and implement evidence-based protocols and standards of care.
- Monitor patient progress, evaluate outcomes, and facilitate patient/family education and discharge planning.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and assist with diagnostic, therapeutic, and procedural interventions.
- Delegate and supervise patient care activities in accordance with staff competencies and scope of practice.
- Serve as a clinical resource, mentor, and professional role model for team members, new hires, and students.
- Maintain required competencies, certifications, licensure, and continuing education while adhering to organizational policies and safety standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, shared governance, and departmental activities that support exceptional patient care.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:- Associate Degree in Nursing
- State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
- 1 year of emergency department or 18 months of ICU experience preferred
- BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire
- ACLS & PALS required
