Are you a Registered Nurse interested in taking your leadership skills to the next level? The Nurse Manager will direct and supervise nursing staff to deliver nursing care and within the scope of practice, coordinate care delivery which will ensure patient needs are met in accordance with professional standard of nursing practice. This position is open in the Med Surg/ ICU Departments - if you are interested, we would love for you to apply!

What You'll Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree required within one year of accepting position.

  • Minimum of two years nursing experience in an acute care setting.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advances Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

What You'll Do:
  • Assist, plan, implement, and evaluate the delivery of care according to accepted nursing and hospital standards of care.
  • Assist with hiring and counseling staff within the units.
  • Assist with developing policies and procedures, recommending appropriate plans of action to provide a safe, clean and secure environment for staff, patients and the public.
  • Provide support in absence of the nursing director.
  • Participates with nursing leader and administrators during meetings and phone calls.
  • Provide mentoring to nursing staff and charge nurses. Set up progress meetings with new hires and all employees consistently within the first year of employment to ensure staff needs are met.
  • Attend staff meetings and provides input to agenda. Assist in keeping staff informed on hospital and unit goals.
  • Assist with all activities related to Performance Improvement and Patient Safety Initiatives.
  • Provide staff evaluations in addition to entering performance data - attendance, hand hygiene percentages, barcode scanning, etc.
  • Report environment of care rounds on a monthly basis. Understand the Conditions of Participation and regulatory expectations and holds staff to these standards.
