Job Description:

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing non-clinical questions and concerns.
  • Provides information about appointments, procedures, billing, and general inquiries.
  • oordinates and schedules patient appointments, follow-ups, and referrals.
  • Provides patients with information and resources about their care, including pre and post-procedure care, medication guidelines, and lifestyle recommendations.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient records, including appointment details and communication logs.
  • Works closely with healthcare providers, administrative staff, and other departments to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Coordinates tests, procedures, and treatments.
  • Addresses and resolves issues or concerns during the patient care process, such as appointment conflicts, billing discrepancies, or communication barriers.
  • Collaborates with other team members to improve processes, share information, and provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Team-centered leadership and facilitation skills; ability to interact appropriately with department/teams to facilitate process development, quality improvement, and interaction with patients/families and the specialty program team [Required]
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer relations skills; ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations [Required]
  • Knowledge of insurance verification and authorization process [Required]
  • Understanding of insurance requirements for scheduling medical tests [Required]

  • Proficiency in Microsoft (Word and Excel) [Required]

  • Knowledge of computer software, particularly Cerner, Aria, Athena, and Sunport [Preferred]

  • Associate's of Nursing [Required]
  • Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
