Job Description:Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm
- Acts as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing non-clinical questions and concerns.
- Provides information about appointments, procedures, billing, and general inquiries.
- oordinates and schedules patient appointments, follow-ups, and referrals.
- Provides patients with information and resources about their care, including pre and post-procedure care, medication guidelines, and lifestyle recommendations.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient records, including appointment details and communication logs.
- Works closely with healthcare providers, administrative staff, and other departments to ensure seamless patient care.
- Coordinates tests, procedures, and treatments.
- Addresses and resolves issues or concerns during the patient care process, such as appointment conflicts, billing discrepancies, or communication barriers.
- Collaborates with other team members to improve processes, share information, and provide comprehensive patient care.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Team-centered leadership and facilitation skills; ability to interact appropriately with department/teams to facilitate process development, quality improvement, and interaction with patients/families and the specialty program team [Required]

- Knowledge of insurance verification and authorization process [Required]
- Understanding of insurance requirements for scheduling medical tests [Required]

- Proficiency in Microsoft (Word and Excel) [Required]
- Effective oral and written communication skills [Required]
- Ability to speak confidently with physicians and leadership [Required]

- Knowledge of medical terminology [Required]
- Knowledge of computer software, particularly Cerner, Aria, Athena, and Sunport [Preferred]
Education: - Associate's of Nursing [Required]
- Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
Field of Study: Work Experience: - 2+ years experience as a medical/surgical nurse [Preferred]
Additional Information: Licenses and Certifications: - Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
