Job Summary and Qualifications

The Manager PACU assists the director with the operations of the department. He/she ensures that patient care is provided according to policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services. The Clinical Manager is responsible for staffing a sufficient number of qualified and competent persons to provide care and assures the qualifications and competence of those staff members meet the needs of patient care services. The Clinical Manager oversees orientation, in-service training, and continuing education of all persons in their department. The Clinical Manager is responsible for interviewing and selection, retention, disciplinary actions and terminations of department employees in conjunction with the Director and Human Resources. He/ she provides input to the director regarding space/equipment recommendations, budgetary needs, and other resources needed by the department. The Clinical Manager maintains 24 hour accountability for the direction, supervision, coordination, and evaluation of activities and services of the assigned unit.

What qualifications you will need:

• BSN required
• Must hold a current license from the Georgia Board of Nursing or Compact State License required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required at time of hire.
• 2+ years RN experience in ICU or PACU experience required. 2+ years Charge Nurse experience preferred.
