Your Role on the Team

Position Summary:

The ICU registered nurse provides direct patient care, in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, to assigned patients in the ICU units. The registered nurse is supportive, compassionate, efficient, detail-oriented team player with excellent interpersonal skills and who collaboratively maintains plan of care for vulnerable patients.

What It Takes to be Successful

Required Qualifications:
  • All External Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Current California RN License
  • Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS. NIHSS and initial Dysrhythmia Recognition within 90 days of hire.
  • Minimum Experience: One year recent ICU/Critical Care or two years Telemetry Experience in an acute care facility.
  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
