Description
The Charge capable Emergency Department RN is a professional who displays expertise in observation, assessment and treatment of patients of all ages that require emergency, urgent or non-urgent treatment. Using the nursing process, the Emergency Department RN coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by working collaboratively with the Emergency Department providers and other patient team members.
Additionally, this role is able to fulfill the charge responsibilities, overseeing the function of the department to ensure consistent, high quality of care and service including appropriate staffing. Delegates appropriate duties to appropriate personnel. Must be self-motivated and works in an efficient and effective manner.
Status: Full time, 36 hours, 6p-6a. This position includes every other weekend and rotating holidays.
Qualities: This vibrant and forward-thinking RN will possess strong critical thinking, flexibility and communication skills. The ability to work independently but also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while providing patient-centered care is a must.
Requirements: Must hold current Maine RN current with BLS, IV certification and ACLS
The pay range for this position is $33.50 to $57.55 per hour, based on relevant education, qualifications, and experience
